  • Established in 1966, the Farm Management Program at Muscatine Community College is a comprehensive two-year production management program. We stress comprehensive because of the diverse courses that are offered. Virtually no stone is left unturned in our goal to educate and train highly skilled professionals. Students earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree upon successful completion of this program.

In viewing the program and courses, it should be stressed that individuals will be exposed to a wide variety of experiences in each course. Our instructional staff is constantly providing updated technical information to students to keep them abreast of rapidly-changing technology. Use of computers in the classroom encourages excellent record-keeping skills - an essential tool in any management situation. An advisory committee, that meets periodically to guide the program through changes, also provides assistance in this area.

Marketing, resource management, and risk management are the focus of the MCC Farm Management Program. Combine these aspects with viable work experience - a chance for students to learn about the subject matter in the real world - and we believe we offer one of the most comprehensive management program available. The two-year program consists of four 16-week semesters and two 4-week summer sessions. Classes allow for individual attention; you will not be just another number at Muscatine Community College.
