Ag Department Faculty

AGRIBUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY FACULTY CREDENTIALS

The Agribusiness and Technology faculty have a wide range of personal and professional experience in production and retail environments. The department maintains four full-time instructors and two part-time instructors.

Jim had nine years of experience as a teacher of vocational agriculture and as an FFA advisor in Illinois before joining the MCC faculty in 1988. He grew up on a family farm near Macomb, Illinois. He teaches marketing, machinery, soil science, as well as other courses.

 

Paul Martin

Paul grew up on a family farm near Ottumwa, Iowa, and graduated from the Farm Management Program in 1984. He teaches business-related classes, crops, animal science courses as well as others. Paul has been an instructor at MCC since 1987.

Marshall grew up working on a farm and graduated from MCC's Feed and Fertilizer Marketing Program. He has worked in the feed industry in sales. He earned his MS degree and has been with MCC since 1980. He is the department coordinator of the Agribusiness and Technology Department.

Janet grew up in the Quad City area. She has years of experience in retail horticulture as well as Horticulture Therapy for physically challenged adults. She has been active in community youth and adult horticulture programs for many years. She teaches an array of topics from turf to greenhouse management. Janet joined MCC in January, 1999, to help develop the Horticulture Program.
